Raymond D. Matsumoto is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Axos Bank. He successfully delivers results in a meritocratic culture leading to enhanced shareholder value. His expertise is in strategic planning, finance, transformations, operations, process and technology, administration, organization, and leadership. As COO, he has responsibility over Technology, Operations, Security, and various administrative functions.
Prior to joining Axos Bank, Raymond was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at CIT Group. He was responsible for the Transformation Management Office supporting CIT's new strategic direction and integration activities, as well as Corporate Service Sourcing/Contracts, Security, and Resolution Planning.
He has also held executive positions at OneWest Bank and Indymac Bank. Raymond started his career having spent 18 years as a Senior Manager Certified Public Accountant with KPMG, and as the Chief Financial and Operations Officer for a consumer food products company. Raymond earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
