Eshel Bar-Adon is Executive Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Chief Legal Officer of Axos. After graduating from law school in 1980, Eshel served as law clerk to the Hon. E.R. Cox, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Alabama. Between 1981 and 1998, Eshel practiced law in Washington, DC, and was a partner in the national law firm of Sullivan & Worcester. While in private practice, he specialized in representing commercial real estate developers and banks in real estate finance transactions. He also served as outside counsel to companies in a variety of industries, including government contractors, technology companies, and financial services companies.
In 1998, Eshel left the private practice of law and joined Stone Street Capital, Inc., the specialty finance firm credited with creating the business of purchasing and securitizing lottery prize and structured settlement annuity payments. While at Stone Street, he served as Senior Vice President for Transactional Affairs and Corporate Counsel, and was a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
After leaving Stone Street in 2006 and prior to joining Axos Bank, Eshel was named Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Seneca One Finance, Inc., another leading specialty finance firm. During his tenure, he served as Acting President and was a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
Eshel received the San Diego Business Journal's 2013 General Counsel Award, and The Daily Transcript’s 2014 "Power of Attorneys" Award. He was also profiled by the Los Angeles Daily Journal in a 2016 article titled “Business Builder”.
Eshel holds a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a Bachelors of Arts degree, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and a California Registered In-House Counsel.
